NSA presented the view agrostrakhovanie industry in the digitalization of agriculture and the opportunities for agricultural insurance, within the section of the forum dedicated to the potential of Russian agriculture. The report on the event was made head of the Department of insurance expertise and space monitoring of NSA Vladimir Shuster. He described the existing experience of the NRA in the organization of the centralized systems of space monitoring. In this area the NSA is collaborating with the Space research Institute and the company Geosys Europe.

From 2019, due to changes in the law on agricultural insurance, methods for remote monitoring for the first time in the Russian practice of insurance has obtained legal status for use in the framework of the insurance examination. This forms the basis for the creation of innovative insurance products, especially index insurance of crops, which can increase the availability of crop insurance for small and medium farmers.

"In addition, further opportunities for farmers on the choice of conditions of insurance protection and its use can open as implementation of the project of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia "Digital agriculture" is calculated till 2024, which provides the intelligent system of measures of state support for farmers using a personal account," – said the President of the NRA of the Roots of biggov.
