An example of recovery growth shows the Voronezh region where agricultural insurance with state support in the past year was practically absent (for individual contracts have been insured by 2 thousand hectares). The region has already insured 96 thousand hectares (2nd place).

The three leaders entered and Altai Krai where already insured 60 thousand hectares of spring sowing. As Oryol oblast, which came in fourth place with an assured area of 54 thousand hectares, Altai Krai is one of the regions where the bodies of the APK provided government support to crop insurance in the past year.

"During spring planting, the NSA noted robust demand for crop insurance in those subjects where the organization of crop insurance has become a tradition, and in the regions, where the state is informed or has not been, or was almost stopped for the period of the introduction of a "single subsidy" - says the President of the NSA. Very indicative in this respect is the result of the Irkutsk region, which has now reached the fifth place in Russia on coverage of crop insurance and where already provided insurance coverage to 43 thousand ha. In years past this region, characterized by increased risks for agriculture, do not carry out the crop insurance with state support. The important point NSA considers the resumption of state support of crop insurance in the Krasnodar region (6), where this year signed contracts for the insurance of 40 thousand hectares".

In addition to these subjects, according to 1 June the top ten on the activity of insurance spring planting came in Tambov oblast (23 ha), Rostov region (22 thousand ha), Stavropol Krai (21 thousand hectares), Amur oblast (18 thousand hectares).

The conclusion of contracts of insurance of crops is still ongoing, said the President of NSA: according to the law on state support of agricultural insurance, this process should be completed in each region after 15 days of sowing. "Thus, the received data will be adjusted, but now they confirm a manifold increase in the demand for crop insurance. As of June 1, the insured area of spring sowing increased compared to as at the same date last year, almost 7 times – up to 542 thousand ha with 78 thousand hectares a year earlier. It is the tangible result as a consequence of changes in the agricultural products insurance act, which came into force on March 1, and the set of joint measures undertaken by the Ministry of agriculture, Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Russia and the NSA, to develop the market", – said the President of the NRA of the Roots of biggov.
