Direct participation in the forum was attended by employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate fgbi "VGNKI", speaking at the round table "United health: the development of veterinary Biopharmaceuticals". The conference devoted to changes in the structure of the legislation in the field of veterinary and pharmaceuticals for veterinary use, optionally covered the questions of development of mysegmenta of Biopharmaceuticals in the open market.

Deputy head of the biotechnology Department of the fgbi "VGNKI" Olga Ivanova gave a presentation revealing the actual to date theme of antibiotic resistance. O. E. spoke about preventive measures that will help to avoid the spread of antimicrobial resistance in Russia. Namely, the sampling for the research; the separation, identification and further validation of the sensitivity of isolates to antimicrobial agents (ILA), as well as a number of works focused on the study of genetic characteristics of emerging resistance.

Additionally, Olga Ivanova shared VGNKI proposals for the implementation of the National action plan to prevent the spread of antimicrobial resistance in Russia. According to scientists of the Center, it is necessary to apply the following measures:

– make lists of antimicrobial medicines prescribed on the prescription;

– to prohibit the use in livestock antimicrobial agents for the prevention or stimulation of growth;

– to ensure control over the use of antimicrobial agents (GSA) in the manufacture of feed;

– to create an electronic information system for surveillance of the use of AMP in veterinary medicine, as well as to improve existing laboratory methods of antimicrobial resistance in human and veterinary medicine;

– to introduce administrative liability for the use of veterinary antimicrobial drugs for therapeutic purposes or use of illegal drugs.

The proposals would help to prevent and limit the spread of resistance of microorganisms to antimicrobial drugs used in Russia.

For reference: antibiotic resistance, in other words, the reduction of the susceptibility of bacteria to antimicrobial agents is not a new phenomenon. The process is that once-effective antibiotics no longer perform its function. As a result, the risk of human infection of resistant zoonotic (infectious and parasitic) bacteria. In this regard, the work on resolving this problem is especially important at the present time.
