The Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev cited the forecast for grain harvest this year - 106 million tonnes or even higher. "We plan to build 106 million tons of grain, I want to remind you that last year was 105 million tons. And if the weather is during the harvesting company to help us and so too happens, the crop in the field is quite decent and we can get in the best case up to 110 million tons of grain," - he said at a meeting of Vladimir Putin with members of the government.

Tkachev also noted that the volume of grain exports will reach 30 million tons."Russia has all the chances to retain the leadership position in the export of wheat. In the export of grain, we most likely will reach 30 million tons. Including in the export of wheat to 25 million tons, and was (earlier) figure of 20 million tonnes," - said the Minister. He noted that Russia expects to increase the export of its grain to China and the Asia-Pacific region, Central and southern Africa, and Latin America.

He did not rule out the resumption of supplies to Turkey.
 

"I think that in Turkey we will resume shipments of grain, rice and other products," - said Tkachev.

He noted that lending to the agricultural work is carried out as planned without interruption."The volume of issued short-term loans for seasonal field work increased by 30% and exceeded 130 billion rubles," - he said.
