According to operational information of the Ministry of agrarian policy and food, on 15 June of the current year Ukrainian agrarians sowed 2 442 thousand hectares of early spring crops and leguminous crops, which is 101% of the forecast. In turn, the total sown area under spring grains and leguminous crops is 7 285 thousand hectares or 99% of the forecast. Sowing of spring wheat, according to the Agency, done at 170 thousand hectares, and is 104% of the forecast.

Barley planted 1 828 thousand hectares or 101% of the forecast, oats - 214 hectares, or 101% of the planned sown area. Sowing of peas produced on 230 hectares, which is 103% of the forecast. Corn, today, planted 4 425 thousand hectares, or 99% of the forecast, and the crop of sunflowers made on 5 510 thousand hectares, accounting for 105% of the forecasted areas.

Soybeans planted 1 864 thousand hectares or 92% of the planned sown area. Sugar beet planted 288 thousand hectares, or 103% of the forecast. It should be noted that the sowing campaign of spring grain and leguminous crops is characterized by excess actually planted acreage over the planned planting. In particular, according to the forecast of the Ministry of agrarian policy and food, the total area under crops of spring grain and leguminous crops in 2015/16 will amount to 7.32 million hectares.
