In the updated report of the total harvest of soybeans in the world increased by 1 million tonnes to the previous forecast and amounted to 321 million tons. It is known that in last season 2015/16 world oilseed harvest this amounted to 316 million tons.

The increase in soybean yield is expected due to increase in acreage from leaders in the production of soybeans, particularly in Brazil. In addition, the forecast for the increase in size of the crops was influenced by good weather conditions for ripening culture in the United States and Canada.

The estimate of world consumption of soybean was also increased to a record value, it amounted to 327 million tons (+3 million tonnes to the previous assessment). Last season, the consumption of oilseeds reached 318 million tons, causing global stocks of soybeans, according to analysts, will drop the second season in a row - their value is estimated at 30 million tonnes, 2 million tonnes more than the previous forecast, but 5 million tonnes lower than last year.

Assessment of world trade in soybeans was increased to 135 million tons (2 million tons of the previous forecast due to the growing demand from China.
