While the supply of grain in the direction of the EU was reduced to 432 thousand tons, which is 24% lower than a year earlier, shipments outside the EU amounted to 652 thousand tons (-5%).

The main importer by the end of July has traditionally been Algeria, where it was delivered 290,45 thousand tons of French wheat, 32% inferior to the result of the same period of 2015. 108 thousand tons of grain were shipped to India, but the operators do not expect further contracts for the supply of French wheat in this area because of the uncertainty of the policy of the Indian government in this area, as well as limited supply of grain in France.

Note that the reason for the decline in shipments of wheat in July was a significant reduction in the grain harvest in France due to the minimum over the last 30 years, productivity of crops, which crops suffered from excessive rain this spring. According to traders, exports of French wheat will remain at a low level in the subsequent months.
