This was stated Wednesday at a press conference in new York, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who participates in a session of the UN General Assembly.

"We have no specific prohibition on the export of wheat from Russia. We have no such laws. As you know, this year the volume of our harvest exceeded our needs"
, — he said.

"Thus we have reached such a level when unable to provide for themselves independently. Now we have some volume (grain - ed.) course is intended for export. Our granaries are full, there is not in Russia", — said H. Rouhani.

The President noted that his country did not need the wheat "for many months". He also pointed out that if the country will find the opportunity to export their grain, purchasing grain from Russia will improve.

The Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation on 16 September said that Moscow is asking Tehran to consider the possibility of lifting the ban on the import of Russian wheat to Iran, in force since March of the current year and negatively affecting the growth of trade turnover between the two countries.
