Two countries signed a Road map on development of trade-economic and investment cooperation in various fields of industry and agriculture.

Note that today Kazakhstan has 160 joint Kazakh-Iranian plants. The Iranian market is promising for cooperation in the sphere of foreign economic activity, given that about 75% of its capacity to import, and the demand for oilseeds and products of their processing is estimated at 1.5 million tons. At the moment there are negotiations on the supply of oils and meals.

For today the geography of export of Kazakhstan products of oilseed processing, except for the neighboring countries of Central Asia includes Afghanistan, China and Belgium. In addition, in 2015/16 to Iran were sent the first batch of sunflower meal.
