Thus from the specified volume outside the EU was raised from 0.54 million tonnes of grain.

In just the first two months of 2016/17 MG the country reduced the export of wheat by 20% compared to the same period a season earlier. In particular, the supply of French wheat outside the EU in July-August decreased by 17% to 1.2 million tons.

The main focus of shipments of grain for the specified period has traditionally been Algeria, however, the exports in this direction has decreased by 46% compared to last year to 496 thousand tons. The supply of wheat in the direction of the EU decreased by 25% to 0.81 million tons, reports "APK-inform".

Note that to significant decline of export of French wheat resulted in significant reduction of grain harvest in the country, which also contributed to the growth of goods imports in the first two months of the season by 71% to 137 thousand tonnes.

In particular, 115 thousand tons of grain was purchased in August, of which 70 thousand tonnes were shipped from Romania. In addition, grain was imported also from Bulgaria and the UK.
