The size of the initial stocks of grain of the species in 2016/17 MG in this report is estimated at 5.2 million tons.

In 2016/17 MG Canada intends to purchase only 0.1 million tons of imported wheat, as in the previous two seasons.

The export of wheat of canadian origin in this season is estimated IGC at the level of 21.6 million tons. Recall that in 2015/16 had been exported 21.7 million tonnes of the grain.

The consumption of wheat in the country could reach 8.8 million tons.

Carryover stocks of grain in Canada in 2016-17 MG can increase to 5.9 million tonnes.

In 2014/15 wheat crop in Canada was equal to 10.4 million tons.
