As noted by the service, the import of food products decreased in the context of the year of purchase of vegetables and grain crops 25.1%, meat and offal – by 16.4%, fruits – by 14.6%.

Increased import of tobacco – 33.8 per cent, alcoholic and soft drinks by 16.1 percent, vegetable oil by 14.6%, fish – 10.4%, sugar 8.4 percent.

In December 2016, the value of imports from foreign countries amounted to 16 442,4 million of US dollars and in comparison with November of 2016 increased by 10.4 per cent mark in the FCS.

In the group of foodstuffs and raw materials for their production increased import of grain crops by 1.9 times, vegetables – by 33.3%, meat and by – products-by 21.6%, fruit and tobacco – 17.7%, vegetable oil – 16.8%, dairy products – by 15.9%, fish – by 8.9 percent, while the value of sugar imports declined by 21.3 per cent, alcoholic and soft drinks by 3.6 percent.

According to preliminary data of customs statistics, in 2016, the imports from CIS countries in value terms amounted to 162 865,3 million dollars USA and compared with 2015 increased slightly.
