In the next Iranian year, which begins in March, the Ministry of agriculture of Iran plans to raise 12.6 million tons of wheat, according to Financial Tribune.

During the autumn sowing area under wheat was reduced to 5.78 million hectares, 2% compared to last year. The reduction was due to the irrigated land.

Recall that in the current year, Iran has harvested a record wheat crop – more than 14 million t. the State trading Corporation of Iran (GTC) bought from farmers for 11.6 million tons of wheat at guaranteed prices.
