The main buyer of Russian sunflower oil in the period was Turkey, which bought 35% of the total export of these products. Also among the main countries-buyers can be called Egypt (14%), Iran (9%), Uzbekistan (6%), China (4%). However, according to experts of Agency, the countries of the Customs Union in September-December bought 12% of the total volume of export of sunflower oil from Russia.

Total for 2016/17 MG, according to forecasts of analysts of IA "APK-inform", the export of sunflower oil from Russia may reach a record 1.85 million tons, largely due to growth in the volume of domestic processing of oilseeds.
