On Monday it became known that the materials of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation to the meeting about the forecast balance of supply and use of grain in the country said that Russia in the current agricultural season (July 2016-June 2017) may face a shortage of quality grain necessary for the production of mass sorts of bread, in particular wheat of the 3rd class.

The Minister noted that the market share of wheat 3-go and 4-go classes used for milling and baking purposes, is at a high level and is 71%, and that the export goes mainly grain 4th class.

"The quality of bread in Russia is traditionally good. Especially in the regions", — said Tkachev, adding that, according to Rospotrebnadzor, the share of low-quality bread is only 3%.
