2016/17 MG was started with record exports (118 thousand tons) and despite the reduction of supplies from month to month, the whole season is on a record schedule.

So, for five months of the current season exported 392,8 thousand tons of flax, exceeding the same period last year by 79%, according to UkrAgroConsult.

The main exports of flax from Russia goes to EU countries (49% of total exports). In addition, significantly increased its import of Russian flax, the leading importers in the current season are Turkey, China and Vietnam. This season started cooperation with Iran, which delivered the first batch of flax from Russia.
