The forecast of wheat production for Kazakhstan this season to our current season was reduced by 2.1 million tonnes to 12.9 million tonnes. The forecast of wheat production in 2016-17 season has not changed – 15 million tons. Also reduced the forecast of wheat exports to 1.2 million tons, with 7.7 for the season to 6.5 million tonnes in the season future.

In 2016/17 season beginning stocks of wheat in the country will amount to 2.6 million tons, production of 15 million tons, the import of 0.1 million tons. Total wheat balance sheet in the past has been reduced from 19.5 to 17.6 million tons. Domestic consumption for food, fodder and technical purposes 7 million tons. Wheat exports dropped from 8.9 to 7.7 million tons, and ending stocks from 3.7 to 2.9 million tons.

For the next season 2017/18 forecast IGC wheat to Kazakhstan in almost all respects than in the current year. When the initial reserves of 2.9 million tons will be produced 12.9 million tonnes of wheat in its import of 0.1 million tons. The total annual balance amount to 15.9 million tons. Domestic consumption for food, fodder and technical objectives 6.8 million tons, exports 6.5 million tons, and ending stocks 2.7 million tons.
