According to the results of the research of Russian market of mineral fertilizers, in 2016 he was 62 542 thousand tons, which is 13.2% more than in 2015. In 2015, the market of mineral fertilizers accounted for 55 269 thousand tons (+6% to 2014 year).

In the structure on the major types of mineral fertilizers increase production in 2016 amounted to anhydrous ammonia +6,4% for urea +13.4 per cent.

Leading FO for the production of anhydrous ammonia in 2016 is the Volga Federal district - 47% of the volume of production in natural terms. In the production of urea in 2016 Volga Federal district is also a leader - 53% of the volume of production in natural terms.

The main players in the segment of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers, EuroChem, URALCHEM, PhosAgro and Acron.

According to analysts DISCOVERY Research Group, in 2017-2018, the amount of mineral fertilizer market in Russia will grow moderately, averaging 4-5% growth per year. This is due to the fact that in 2016 it became known about reduction of volumes of investment in modernization of production the largest players in the market. However, it is projected that in 2019 the market growth rate will increase.
