During the period under review the import of grain and products of its processing amounted to 10,619 thousand tons, which is 4.7 times more than in January-April of 2016.

In April, the DPRK imported about 4.1 thousand tons of grain, including 1,542 thousand tons of rice 1,506 thousand tons of corn, 0.75 thousand tons of flour and 0,304 thousand tons of starch. In April last year imports exceeded 0,754 thousand tons.

The volume of import of fertilizers in January-April 2017 dropped to 87 thousand tonnes or 40% compared to last year.
