A month earlier, grain exports also amounted to 2.6 million tonnes including 2 million tonnes of wheat. For the third consecutive month the export is a record for this time of season pace.

Total for July-may, exported, according to official figures, 33.1 million tons (+3,3% GCG), including 25.7 million tons of wheat (+10%), 4,3 million tons of corn (+6%) and 2.7 million tonnes of barley (-36%).

The main explanation for the high rates of grain exports record volumes of export of wheat to Egypt.
