Trading on the Paris Bourse ended before fixation speculators in Chicago profit weakened quotations of wheat, and the Europeans focused on daily growth of American wheat.

Moreover, the market opinion is growing that the problems with the harvest of high protein wheat in the US will be in the hands of the Europeans. Weekly export sales of U.S. wheat have declined significantly. And European exporters have started to create stocks of high protein wheat in recent weeks for export were purchased from 300 to 500 thousand tons of grain in Germany, Poland and the Baltic States.

The September quotes milling wheat on the Paris stock exchange MATIF rose by €1.25 to 179,00 €/ton (204,10 $/ton).
