According to the official September 10 power purchased from local farmers 8.8 million tons of wheat grain for a total amount of 2.95 million dollars.

According to the revised data, the main volume of purchases occurred in four provinces: Khuzestan, Fars, Kermanshah and Kurdestan.

Iranian authorities are planning this year to purchase on the domestic market of 11 million tons of wheat. According to the government, this purchase will allow to fully meet the needs of the country and to prevent a possible shortage of grain in the state reserve.
