"In the period from January to September 2017 when importing soybeans from the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Russian Federation in 107 cases revealed six objects of the quarantine for the Eurasian economic Union: hederacea morning glory ( Ipomoea hederacea L .), pitted morning glory ( Ipomoea lacunose L.), Bidens pilosa ( Bidens pilosa L. ), common ragweed ( Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.), ambrosia Trifid ( Ambrosia trifida L.), toothed spurge ( Euphorbia dentata Michx .)", — stated in the message.

The Rosselkhoznadzor sent to the competent Brazilian authorities a letter asking to "take strict measures" to ensure that no quarantine pests in the supply of soybeans on the territory of Russia.

"In case of failure of the Brazilian side of the respective measures, the Rosselkhoznadzor does not rule out the introduction from 1 December 2017 temporary restrictions on the import of soybeans from the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Russian Federation", — said the Rosselkhoznadzor.
