Celebrated in recent years, the increasing processing volumes of soybeans in Russia contributes to a significant increase of production of soybean oil, which over the past two seasons increased by 158 thousand tons (to 808 thousand tonnes), in the current marketing year, according to forecasts of IA "APK-inform", could increase by another 47 thousand tonnes to 854 thousand tonnes.

Domestic consumption of soybean oil in the country starting in 2014/15 has also increased (more than 71 thousand tonnes) and in the current season may increase by another 54 thousand tons, reaching 350 thousand tons.

At the same time, the growth of domestic consumption of this product may contribute to the decrease in exports of this product in the current MG - up to 500 thousand tonnes to 521 thousand tonnes in the previous season (estimation of IA "APK-inform"), despite growing global demand for soybean oil.

However, in 2017/18 MG exports will continue to occupy about 60% of the total distribution of Russian soybean oil.
