Agricultural producers of the Crimea for the first time exported abroad food wheat, reported Tuesday by the Minister of agriculture of the Republic Andrey Ryumshin.
"This year the harvest of grain and leguminous crops amounted to more than 1, 7 million tons. Thus, we were able to fully satisfy demand of the Republic in quality of grain and even have the opportunity to export food grains to India, Saudi Arabia and Syria", - he reported at a meeting of the Presidium of the Crimean Parliament.
The total volume of exports to these countries amounted to 600 thousand tons, the Minister said Ryumshin TASS.
Earlier it was reported that the harvest of 2017 in the Crimea was a record over the past eight years.
For the first time in 2009 exceeded the level of gross yield of 1.7 mtpa.
In 2016, the Peninsula was collected 1,447 million tons of grain that 104,7 thousand tons more than in 2015.
