As analysts believe, the development of the said the upward trend is due to a number of factors – the increasing scarcity of land for production of crops, rising energy prices and high world demand for feed grains.

In particular, according to forecasts, in the EU in the next 12 years is expected to further reduce the cultivated land is 2.2%, from 176 to 172 million hectares. At the same time, sowing areas under grain crops will increase from 56 to 57 million hectares, which will increase the total volume of production by 2030 about 13%, to 341 million tons per year.

It is also noted that one of the incentives for increased production of cereals will increase demand, both domestic and foreign markets, from the livestock industry and the increased use of grain crops for industrial purposes.
