The Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation assesses as satisfactory as the winter fields are the regions ready for spring planting. The grain harvest is projected at not less than 100 million tons, reported TASS on Sunday the first Deputy Minister of agriculture of Russia Dzhambulat Hatuov at a working visit to Abkhazia.

"The Ministry of agriculture conducts regular monitoring with the RF regions. To date the condition of winter field we estimate as satisfactory. There is, indeed, a certain amount of winter fields in the range of 1 million hectares of 70, which is particularly at risk, farmers in the regions continue research. We expect that measures will be taken, but the overall percentage of death according to the results of the wintering, according to preliminary forecasts of experts, the average", - he explained.

According to him, with regard to the overall condition of winter field and readiness for spring planting, the regions of the Russian Federation provided seed material. "We see no threats to full of grain production in Russia of at least 100 million [tons] per year, as is happening in Russia in the last four years," added the Deputy Minister.

As reported TASS in the Ministry of agriculture in January, the grain harvest in clean weight in Russia in 2017, increased by 11.2% compared with the figure 2016 and reached 134,1 million tonnes.

Thus, in 2017, Russia broke the record of Soviet times, when the country in 1978 were collected 127 million tonnes of grain. Russian record grain harvest was set in 2017, reaching a figure of $ 135 million tonnes.
