In December 2017. the government authorized the export of 2 million tonnes of wheat and products of its processing for the period until 30 June 2018. While the overland routes to foreign markets must be delivered (and are delivered) 600 thousand tons of wheat. However, the authorities are more interested in the development of marine exports: government subsidies when land supply is 120 $/ton, for sea – 169 $/ton. "Land" traders achieve increase subsidies to 159 $/ton, but the question is still under discussion.

Pakistan using sea routes in March exported 241,522 tons, and in April, more than 300 thousand tons – the largest monthly export volume for the whole history of the country. Wheat is delivered in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, Dubai, Muscat, Oman at prices 185-200 $/ton.
