Mozambique may become one of the anchor points for Belarus in Africa, said President Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Mozambique albert Vagina, BelTA informs.
"We recently very intensively looking for a foothold in Africa - those States that could cooperate. One of these States, we believe, could become Mozambique", - Lukashenka said.
The head of Belarus noted that the two economies are complementary and not competing with each other, with bilateral trade, which is about $10 million, does not meet the potential of the two States. "We still have not created the legal framework of our relations, and your visit will serve to intensify relations in this sphere", - Lukashenka said. The President noted that Belarus and Mozambique have no closed topics for cooperation.
Prime Minister African States albert Vagina noted that there are many areas where Belarus and Mozambique could cooperate, and that's including agriculture and manufacturing of agricultural machinery.
