In the program of the working visit of head of the Federal agricultural Agency - meeting with the acting head of the Republic Egor Borisov, visit a number of enterprises of agroindustrial complex of Yakutia and diversified holding company "JAkutugol", the holding of an interregional meeting, devoted to questions of development of traditional branches of livestock and epidemic situation in the regions of the Far East, the North and equivalent areas.

The head of the Federal agricultural Agency Nikolay Fedorov in the framework of the working visit to Yakutia, together with the acting head of the Republic Egor Borisov got acquainted with the activities of one of the largest agricultural enterprises of the region - the state unitary enterprise "Sabian". The farm has more than seven thousand heads of domestic reindeer. Land area is about 4.5 million ha, reindeer pastures 1.1 million hectares Annually on tribal sale is realized 500 animals, meat - 1 thousand heads of deer, as well as 500 kg of raw antlers and 2 tons of battle horns.

Federal Minister stressed that reindeer herding is a developed for centuries by indigenous peoples of the North form of human interaction with nature. "This unique experience is worth studying and full support", - said Nikolai Fedorov.

Also today, Nikolai Fyodorov has held a working meeting with the acting head of the Republic.

Nikolai Fedorov and Egor Borisov discussed topical issues of the development of agriculture in the region, outlined the prospects for further fruitful cooperation of the Federal agricultural staff and the authorities of the Republic.
