The opening of phase I of the pig-breeding complex in Russia, Nizhny Novgorod region is planned for the end of 2014. This is the Minister of agriculture and food resources of the Nizhny Novgorod region Alexei Morozov said following the meeting of the regional government on October 21.

According to him, in the finished complex will be grown breeds of pigs bacon directions, because this type of meat is especially popular in the region.

"This complex will allow to solve many problems, in particular, it will become a backup Ilyinogorskoe of meat, as it is already outdated and unable to cope with deliveries required of it. We expect that in Ilinogorskii the complex will contain about 70 thousand head of cattle, and in the new pig-breeding complex in Russia area - not less than 180 thousand", - said the Minister.

Alexey Morozov noted that at the moment for investors implementing the project of construction of the Russia complex, offered a choice of six sites for the construction of another pig-breeding complex.
