McDonald's approved potatoes with GMOs
Company supplying potatoes to McDonald's restaurants in the United States, has received approval from the USDA for commercial cultivation of genetically-modified potatoes.

The Ministry of agriculture of the USA has approved commercial cultivation of genetically-modified potatoes, reports channel Russia Today.

GM vegetables are grown on one of the farms in the American state of Idaho, and the company that owns the farm, is one of the main suppliers of potatoes for American fast food restaurants, including McDonald's.

Manufacturers modified potatoes argue that during heat treatment, it is less of a chemical called acrylamide is a carcinogen, which enters the bloodstream and affect the heart.

In addition to genetically-modified potatoes, also the approval of the Ministry of agriculture of the USA got transgenic soybeans and corn.
