More than 25 tons of smuggled meat detained at the Russian-Ukrainian border in the Belgorod region, reported in the regional Department of the Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance.

Meat, presumably, foreign production, were transported by KAMAZ, a Russian citizen, a resident of the Belgorod region.

Later on the border near the village of zhuravlevka Belgorod region border guards seized another load without accompanying documents - on car with Ukrainian rooms were transported meat offal (processed intestines of animals), packaged in eight barrels of 200 pounds.

Since the beginning of the year in the Belgorod region the joint efforts of law enforcement agencies arrested about 300 tonnes of illegal meat products, much of which is recycled.

For the last week at at checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation identified 20 cases of violation of temporary restrictions on import of plant products from Ukraine. In the cabin citizens entering the territory of Russia and Ukraine, it was discovered 205 kg fresh greens,118 kg of walnuts, as well as onions, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, dried fruits, apples, and 50 pieces of oak twigs.
