One of the largest agricultural producers in the Kemerovo region - cooperative "Coastal" - introduced restrictions on the sale of vegetables in other regions because of increased twice as demand for products. About it on Wednesday said the farm Director Sergei floor panels in the Kuzbass agri-food forum.

"This year, problems with sales no. On the contrary, that the vegetables are left in the region for a longer period of time, we stopped to ship vegetables vans. Because if the truck, then taken outside the region, and if outside, then in the region we can stay out of vegetables, "he said, noting that we are talking about the dealers, that is about intermediaries.

According to him, now already sold about 40%, whereas last year at this time was 20-25%. However, he noted that "if you don't slow down", then outside the area goes up to 60% of agricultural products.

As explained by the Deputy Governor Valeriy Shabanov, this year the yield of vegetables in the "Coastal" amounted to 576 tons per hectare and that "the highest rate from the Urals to the Far East." In the Department of agriculture and processing industry TASS said that the share of "Shore" accounts for about 40% of the total volume of vegetables grown by farmers in the region.

Why increased demand

Commenting on the reasons for the increased demand for vegetables, floor panels noted that the situation affected including sanctions. "Deliveries stopped, and own production some regions may not have enough", - he said.

Another reason, according to him, there may be a crop failure. As told TASS Director of the kolkhoz. Ilyich Victor Lobanov, this season the company feels the increased demand for cabbage: if last year at this time, it was sold about 20% of the total, this is about 80%. "Frost strong hit and many producers were unable to remove during the cabbage", - he explained.

The farm "Wisniewski" refused to supply cabbage outside the region - Altai and Novosibirsk region. Kolkhoz Chairman Michael Nikityuk explained this decision by crop failure due to cold may-beginning of June and the coming of cold weather, when many crops left in the fields.
