The agricultural Committee of the state Duma considers necessary limitation of the export of mineral fertilizers due to growth of prices on the domestic market. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on agrarian issues Airat Khairullin, speaking at a meeting of the Committee.

"The situation is very bad, the best thing would be to introduce today a short, three to four months of customs duty on fertilizers, and collected the money be spent on anti-crisis measures", - he said.

Khairullin said that the customs duty on fertilizer may be introduced by analogy with the export duties on wheat.

The Deputy head of the Committee said that this issue will be discussed at the "round table" on carrying out of spring field works, which will be held in the state Duma in early February with the participation of fertilizer, the banking community, agribusiness and agriculture.

Khairullin also called correct step possible introduction of quotas on exports of mineral fertilizers. "Every week the price grows at 600-700 rubles, while the FAS in this question is very poorly behaved", - he complained.
