Five modern storage facilities for fruits and vegetables with a total capacity of 100 thousand tons are planning to build in Kabardino-Balkaria in the current year, reported IA REGNUM 4 March, the press service of the Ministry of agriculture.

"According to the Vice-Premier of the government of Kabardino - Minister of agriculture of Maeda Dedova, currently, Uzbekistan is implementing several investment projects on construction of storage of vegetables and fruits, five of which are scheduled to be completed this year. The capacity of commissioned objects will be about 100 thousand tons", - said the press service.

The planned annual increase in horticultural production, the construction of modern storage remains for Kabardino-Balkaria current direction. By 2020 it is planned to increase the storage capacity of the fruit and vegetables up to 300 thousand tons, which will fully meet the modern Republic stores.

Note that according to the Ministry of the CBD today, Belarus has eight storage facilities with a total storage capacity of 50 thousand tons, which meets the needs of Kabardino-Balkaria only 10-12%.
