For June 2016 in Russia discovered more than 20 new outbreaks of ASF among domestic pigs. The disease is detected in the Kaluga, Bryansk, Orel, Moscow, Lipetsk, Novgorod and Saratov regions.

African swine fever (ASF) is registered in Russia since 2007. When the diagnosis of ASF in dysfunctional settlement imposed quarantine is the only measure to combat the disease. In a radius of 20 km all pigs, regardless of the signs of the disease, are removed and sacrificed.

Under the terms of the quarantine prohibits the sale in the markets of animal products of all kinds and export outside the chamber during all term of quarantine, and in the subsequent six pigs of pork products and the export from the source of contamination of crop products.
