According to the annual data for 2015 published by Ministry of agriculture, food and environment (Magrama), sales of poultry meat in the EU increased by 7.63 percent, while exports to third countries increased by 15.78 percent.
France and Portugal were the main destinations for Spanish supplies of poultry meat, with sales of about 48 thousand tons.

Spain also imported to 4.34 percent more poultry meat last year, compared with 2014. Most of this meat is imported from EU countries.

The country produced of 1.41 million tons of poultry meat in 2015, which is 1.64% less compared to 2014. Now Spain is in fifth place in the rating of producers of poultry meat in the EU, after Germany, France, Poland and the UK.
