The Syrian Arab Republic has become one of the leaders of growth in the supply of fruit and nuts in Russia in the first six months of the current year. Export of this category of food products to Russia from Syria has increased in 8,5 times in comparison with the same period of 2015.

According to the world trade Center in Moscow, for the first half of 2016, the delivery of fruits and nuts from Syria have become one of the leaders on positive dynamics. During this period of the Syrian Arab Republic has imported 10 thousand tons of products, which is 746% higher than the same period in 2015. In Russia in the category of fruit supply (in descending order by volume) bananas, citrus, apples, pears, nuts, grapes, coconuts, dates, figs, apricots, cherries and melons. For the first six months in Russia only imported 2.3 million tons of this production.
