Belarus from September 6 imposed a temporary ban on the import of pigs and pork from the Kharkiv region of Ukraine in connection with an outbreak of ASF. This was announced by the Department of veterinary and food supervision of the Ministry of agriculture and food of Belarus.

"According to the International epizootic Bureau on the territory of Kharkiv region on 2 September recorded a new case of African swine fever. In this regard instructed to take additional measures to prevent the import of this field of live pigs and pork products", — stated in the message of Department.

The ban also applies to feeds and feed additives for animals animal and vegetable origin.

"At the same time it is necessary to adopt additional control measures to ensure biological protection of major pig-breeding complexes and pig farms and farms of all forms of ownership", — stated in the message.

In addition, canceled all previously issued permits for the importation of pig products to the Republic of Kharkiv region.

Informed of ASF was introduced restrictions on import to Belarus of pork products from Volyn, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytsky, and Kirovohrad regions of Ukraine.
