Including cucumbers collected 332,8 thousand tons (in 2015 - 307.2 thousand tons), tomatoes - about 125.4 thousand tons (in 2015 - 79,5 million tons) other vegetables - 13.5 thousand tons in 2015 and 8.4 thousand tons). The development of vegetable growing this year has led to the introduction of the ban on delivery of fruits and vegetables from Turkey, which was the largest supplier for some products of this group, in particular tomatoes.

As previously wrote the magazine "Agroinvestor", the decline in imports after the introduction of bradenburg gave incentive to increase the production of vegetables. But investment in the sector is inadequate, despite increased state support: business expansion of existing players and launch of new projects do not allow to fully solve the question of self-sufficiency.

According to "Tekhnologii rosta", the total commercial production of greenhouse vegetables and greens all farms in 2015 amounted to 749 thousand tonnes, including Crimea. In 2016, volumes may increase by 10-20 thousand tons, predicts the Director of the research company Tamara Reshetnikova. In July 2016, the yield of vegetables in winter greenhouses in the agricultural has grown to 382,5 thousand tons compared to 336 thousand tonnes for the same period of 2015.
