For comparison, inflation over the same period last year amounted to 0.3%, in January 2016, consumer prices rose by 1%.

According to Rosstat, in the services sector from 1 to 9 January 2017, there has been significant price growth. So, the subway fare has become more expensive by 13.1%, trams – by 10.1%, trolley bus and municipal bus is 9.2% and 6.7%, respectively.

Also during the new year holidays rose significantly fruits and vegetables - an average of 3%. Including the increase of prices for fresh cucumbers and tomatoes was 12.1% and 10.5%, respectively.

From 1 to January 9, 2017 prices for chicken eggs and butter increased 0.5 percent, frozen fish, milk, sour cream, fat cottage cheese, cheese, rice and vodka – on 0,2-0,4%. Simultaneously sugar became cheaper by 0.5%, sunflower oil, buckwheat, millet and salt – 0.1%.
