High margins which add retailers to the cost of production of the Russian growers, is one of the threats of the market, said Deputy Chairman of Moscow region government Denis Butsaev, in the course of III International forum of agricultural vegetable crops "Avascular".

"We managed to remove the obstacles in order to make our products appeared on the shelves. But now the question arises, at what price, it appears there. This is a very important factor in order to sales was in sufficient volumes," — said Denis Butsaev.

According to him, the average selling price of producers in the agricultural is 91 RUB/kg cucumbers and 110 RUB./kg of tomatoes. The average price in retail chains in cucumbers is 110-170 rubles/kg, for tomatoes – 215-270 RUB/kg. D. Butsaev added that according to expert estimates, the price of cucumbers of the trading network needs to add 40 RUB/kg, tomatoes – 60 rubles/kg.

In response, the first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on agrarian and food policy Sergei Lisovsky promised by next week to prepare a bill to limit the margins of networks.

"Without limiting trade margins and legislatively-approved single contract deliveries we, unfortunately, do nothing. Because the trading network is constantly finding ways around those legislative initiatives that we have already adopted", — said Sergey Lisovsky. According to him, the real retail margin is now 50% to 300%.

However, representatives of retail chains believe their margins are justified. So, head of the "Underground Groups" in Russia Alexey Grigoriev noted that the delivery of the goods from the producer to the final consumer is a very expensive process.
