In January-March 2017 total exports of sunflower oil from three key countries-suppliers (Russia, Ukraine, Argentina) amounted to 2.33 million tonnes, down from 1.88 million tons in the same period a year earlier, according to "APK-inform" with reference to the Oil World analysts.

As specified, this growth is due to a record harvest of sunflower seed in Russia and Ukraine, shipment of oil which had increased to 0.56 million tons (0.5 million tons) and 1.59 million tons (1.17 million tonnes), respectively. Argentina in the first quarter of 2017 put on foreign markets of 0.17 million tonnes (0,22 MT).
