The press-Secretary of Rosselkhoznadzor Julia Melano stated that the decision to conduct an unscheduled inspection without the consent of the prosecution bodies will help to improve the situation with the spread of ASF.

"The situation in Russia with the spread of African swine fever from year to year worsens. Now, when we understand implicitly that a company is a mass death of animals, we can immediately come to check. Coordination with bodies of Prosecutor's office – a fairly lengthy process, it is necessary to prepare the relevant documents, and justification. Conducting unscheduled inspections without spending time on coordinating this issue with the Prosecutor's office will significantly increase the security of enterprises, as in the case of an ASF outbreak was registered producers have to destroy all the livestock, it's a huge loss"
