Exports of poultry from some regions of the Russian Federation was banned
This decision was made by the Rosselkhoznadzor to prevent the spread of avian flu and also to maintain Russia's status of a country free from this disease

Under the restrictions were products from Kalmykia, Chechnya, Kuban and Astrakhan, Rostov and Moscow regions. From these regions it is forbidden to export live poultry, hatching eggs, genetic material, as well as poultry products without the benefit of heat treatment.

The office noted that the restrictions will not apply to exports, if it is produced in another subject, and the route does not pass through a threatened area.
