The consumption of bread in Russia over the past 10 years has fallen by a quarter. The Ministry of industry and Roskoshestvo begin a large-scale study of this product.
In a press release dedicated to this event, it is reported that the project will undertake analysis of bread quality and to identify manufacturers that is worthy of state quality Mark. The study will take place in three areas for compliance with the mandatory safety performance Standards and high standards of Roskoshestvo.
"The hallmark of the present time is the fact that the domestic customer has become much less likely to purchase this traditional for our table product: only in the last ten years the consumption of bread fell by a quarter from 66 to 49 kg per person per year", – summarized in the press release statement of the head of Minpromtorg Denis Manturov.
The Minister noted that such data is due solely to a conscious choice of the consumer, and not a reduction in income or a shortage of bread. "Modern economic realities are pushing the market to focus not only on the affordability of bread, but also on consumer characteristics", – says Manturov, whose words are reported.
The results of the first study of bread carried out in the territory of the Central Federal district, will be available on the portal Roskoshestvo by mid-July.
