The largest increase in the period fixed in the Belgorod region (12.4 percent), the Kirov oblast (7.6 per cent), the Republic of Tatarstan (3,7%), Voronezh region (7.1 percent), Sverdlovsk region (7.1 per cent) and the Republic of Udmurtia (4.7 per cent). The decrease in production noted in Smolensk, Lipetsk, Moscow regions and in the Republic of Karelia.

The average milk yield per cow in agricultural organizations (except microenterprises) increased by 5.4 % to 2.6 million pounds in 5 months. The greatest increase of milk productivity observed in the Kaliningrad region, Kamchatka Krai, Chelyabinsk, Tula regions and the Chuvash Republic.

"The positive dynamics of milk production is the result of realization of measures on increase of productivity of dairy cattle and the state", — said the Director of the Department of animal husbandry and breeding Kharon Amerkhanov.
