Lack of products, produced in Russia, now is not expected, as spikes in food prices, said the head of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev.

"We have a deficit, by and large, will not. At least, not assumed by the different types of products which are produced in Russia. So I do not predict such a jump in (prices – ed.). It can be seasonal, temporary, as, indeed, every year – not only in our country but throughout the world", — said Tkachev in an interview with NTV television.

He stressed that grain produced in Russia, enough for all needs inside the country – even with the lower than expected harvest in 2017. "At rice we have no problems, buckwheat – no problem", — said the Minister.

In addition, the price of food, particularly for fruits and vegetables, may fall in the autumn. "By the fall in General prices will fall because the market will leave a large number of Russian vegetables", — said Tkachev.
