In this regard, the Rosselkhoznadzor on June 27 held talks with the Ministry of agriculture and livestock of Madagascar, during which the Agency undertook to provide information about the assortment, volumes of production and export of horticultural products to the EU and the EAEC. As of July 13 response to questions received, in this connection the Rosselkhoznadzor bans the delivery of products from Madagascar via third countries to obtain information.
"We believe it is necessary from 17 July 2017 to allow only direct deliveries to the Russian Federation of plant products of high phytosanitary risk originating from the Republic of Madagascar, accompanied by phytosanitary certificates of the Republic of Madagascar through the checkpoints located in the Russian sector of the external borders of the Eurasian economic Union, prior to receipt of the requested information," – said the Rosselkhoznadzor.
